Responsible Hiking

We have been hiking on the beautiful Cabot trail in Cape Breton and we have read many signs about responsible hiking.  Do you know the "Leave No Trace" principles?  In a nutshell, you should leave the trail like you found it and, if anything, take out more trash than you brought into nature.  Or as some would say, "take only pictures home with you and leave only your footsteps behind when you leave."  Not a bad rule to follow as you enjoy vacation!  -Liam
